Your ways or not my ways

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. – Isaiah 55:8 NIV

Melinda and I were reading through Isaiah this week and the Holy Spirit keeps repeating Isaiah 55:8 in my head over and over; or more specifically “your ways or not my ways.” I think it might be because I am struggling with Melinda having to suffer through all of this. If I had it my way she would not be in any pain and would be healed of all her ailments. She has been struggling to eat and has not had a good night’s sleep in the past few days as the pain has gotten really worse this week. It did not help that I did not feel well today and have done my best to stay away from her as much as I could so I did not share whatever I might have. Please continue to pray for her healing especially for the stomach pain and that she does not catch a cold, flu, strep, etc as they all seem to be going around right now.

We give thanks to you, God; we give thanks to you, for your name is near. People tell about your wondrous works. – Psalm 75:1 (CSB)

We did sing God’s praises this week as Melinda was approved for TRS Disability. Thank you for praying with us that it would be approved. Please pray that the process to complete the paperwork and transition to TRS medical insurance goes smoothly.

Prayers to you and your family that everyone stays healthy during this flu season.
