Matthew 16:24-26

Cancel-Culture Me, Please!!!

Cancel culture is a modern form of ostracism in which someone is thrust out of social or professional circles – whether it be online, on social media, or in person. Those who are subject to this ostracism are said to have been “cancelled”. I believe the cancel culture movement is a direct result of our society moving away from a Christian worldview. If you look at China’s social credit system I believe it may serve as a glimpse of where the world and the United States are headed.

I was recently watching Alan Parr talking about taking Selfies. In my words, he basically asked would someone know if you believed in Jesus by what you post on social media. It got me thinking, “Would They?” Then my mind flashed through all the news articles lately about our world today. It seems that the majority of people are trying to cancel Christ or make Jesus into something he is not or even worse claim the Bible is not the Word of GOD.

Let me proclaim that I believe in biblical inerrancy, that the Holy Scripture is the Word of God, and it carries the full authority of God or in other words, the Bible is the inspired(2 Tim. 3:16), inerrant(Matthew 15:3-4), and infallible(Isa. 55:11) Word of God. If this belief gets me canceled then PLEASE, CANCEL-CULTURE ME!!! “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. – 2 Corinthians 5:10” I pray that when that day comes for me Jesus will know that I tried my best to stand for him and not this world.

Father,
Please allow the Holy Spirit to continue to talk to me about my actions.
Forgive me of my Sins!!!
Help me to stand strong in a culture that seems HELL bent on canceling you, your son, and the Holy Spirit.
Please have the Holy Spirit speak to the hearts of those that call themselves Christian but show absolutely no fruits.
I pray for the soon return of your son, Jesus Christ.
I thank you for all that you do for me, my family, and my friends.
In Jesus name, AMEN.
