Waiting is hard

1 How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
Psalm 13:1-2 (NKJV)

There are many times in life that we struggle just like David waiting for a response from God. I have struggled with God over Melinda’s health these past few weeks. Melinda is still struggling with stomach pains as well as other issues. Severally, ladies at our church said her issues sounded like menopause, so this week she finally saw her gynecologist. The OBGYN confirmed that Melinda is going through menopause; most likely a result of the chemo treatment. They also told her she had a UTI. I was shocked. She has had UTIs before and the pain was so bad she knew right away. I asked her why she had not noticed and she said the pain from her stomach is so bad that is all she can feel. It gave me a new sense of how bad her stomach pain must be. There are apparently some medications that can help with menopause, but because of the blood clot Melinda has had the OBGYN is very hesitant to subscribe them without consulting a hematologist. The OBGYN suggests she is better just dealing with the symptoms if at all possible before trying subscriptions. The problem is cancer and the menopause they want to be very careful as to any treatments. Melinda wanted everyone to know that she is now trying to cope with multiple issues. She is on antibiotics for the UTI. I am praying that it cures the UTI and maybe in some way it might help with the stomach issues.

Everyone always asks how is Melinda doing? The simple answer is just like anyone dealing with a medical issue(s) some days are better than others.

We ask that you continue to please pray for Melinda’s recovery.

For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. John 1:16 (ESV)
