Significant Encouragement

Significant Encouragement

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)

Sunday is generally considered the LORD’s day in Christianity. Sundays are a time when most Christians gather together to worship at a local church. It also is a time that some Christians hesitate to go to church for whatever reason. As I sit here writing this, Melinda sleeps, but I know more than anything she wants to go to church. I believe many of us take it for granted that we can get out of bed on Sunday, get dressed, drive to church, and worship our LORD and savior, Jesus Christ. There are so many than can not.

Melinda is still having issues sleeping. The steroids have seemed to make sleeping even more difficult and the lack of sleep has made her weaker. She has been having headaches off and on but thank God the medications are still helping to relieve them. She is still smiling, praying, and trying to serve God however she can in her current circumstances.

You Are Missed at Church

If you are healthy enough to get out of bed, I pray that you find yourself headed to church this morning. On your way to church, might I suggest you say two prayers. First, pray that at least one thing would be a significant encouragement to you. It may be something someone says, a line from a song that is sung, or something in the sermon. God wants you to be encouraged. Second, pray that you would be a significant encouragement to at least one other person. It might be something you say to them or just the fact that you are there. God wants us to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Melinda and I continue to pray daily and read GOD’s word. We pray for our family, friends, country, and you. We pray GOD blesses you and your family for reading this.
