Total Chaos played a make up game last night against a second McGregor team. The game started about 30 minutes late. Someone forgot to schedule an official or the scheduled official did not show, not sure which was the case, but it delayed the start of the game.
The girls went back and forth for a while and were tied when the time ran out. We began getting ready to go when the McGregor coaches came over complaining they did not want to end with a tie. They wanted to finish the game. I am glad they did, because it gave Megan a chance to shine. She played the best she has all year.
Total Chaos took the field. The first McGregor batter hit the ball straight at Megan on 3rd base. She scoped it up and made a perfect throw to first getting the first out. The next batter got a hit and made it around to 3rd as the pitcher struck out the third batter for out two. The final batter hit the ball down the 3rd base line. Megan fielded the ball. She had the wits about her to tag the girl at 3rd base that was running home instead of trying to throw the ball to 1st. Megan got the 3rd out and stopped McGregor from scoring.
Total Chaos came in to bat. Luckily they were at the top of the batting order. The first batter made it to 1st base. She was able to steal 2nd as the second batter got out. Then Megan came to the plate. She hit the ball into the outfield. The hit allowed the girl on second to make it home and win the game.
Megan was named the MVP by the coaches that were there. What a game!!!
